The servant explained everything to her brother. “The Lord blessed Abraham and gave him a son (verses           ). Abraham sent me to find a wife for his son from his relatives (verses            ). I prayed for God’s guidance at the well (verses            ). Before I finished my prayer, Rebekah came and did what I had prayed (verses           ). As I realized she was from Abraham’s relative, I praised the Lord (verses              ).

How did Laban grant her marriage to the son of Abraham? (v50)

On the next day, Laban didn’t seem to want to send his sister to a foreign country (v55, 57). But Rebekah decided to depart with Abraham’s servant (v58). They blessed her to be the mother of thousands (verse         ). They returned to Canaan. She became Isaac’s wife and Isaac was comforted after (                           ).

34-36, 37-41, 42-44, 45-46, 47-48

The servant witnessed how God blessed Abraham, how faithfully Abraham had sent him in search of Isaac’s wife, and how faithfully God had guided his journey of mission.

Because it was the Lord’s doing.

To the reader, this part could be repetitive. This long narrative was given to Laban to act in faith of God.

As others hear your testimony that the Lord has been faithful in your life, they will be challenged to trust in the Lord.
