Answers and Meditation
His brothers, Canaanite, Er, Onan, the Lord’s sight
Joseph had been sold by his brothers. Judah moved into the Canaanite society. The chosen family was bruised and scattered.
Judah’s family was contaminated by the Canaanite sins. Death of his two sons tells it. “was evil in the Lord’s sight” (7, 10)
He intentionally refused to continue his brother’s family line. It was against God’s will.
The Bible simply stated that the Lord killed him because of it (10). We better not argue, ‘Is it really bad that he deserved death?’
