38. The Table and the Lampstand (Ex 25:23-40)

The table for the Bread of the Presence and the Lampstand were in the Tabernacle together with the Ark and the Incense Altar.

The literal translation of the Bread of Presence is ‘the Bread of Faces.’ TNK version translates it to ‘the Bread of Display.’ The bread should always be before the Lord.

The message is that the Lord provides life for His people and that we get this life from the Lord's presence. In preparing the bread, they were supposed to agree to that statement. 

Perhaps "the bread" signified both God's provisions and Israel's "vocation," since Israel was to be a source of spiritual food for the world (19:5-6) – Tom Constable

 

“Be sure to make them according to the pattern you were shown.” Which one is correct?



 The one on the right

The Lord emphasizes following the exact shape that Moses has seen. The arbitrary design will lead you to idolatry.

 

The Lampstand will give light to (               ) in front of it.

The area

The Lord is the light of life for you, and at the same time, you are the light of the world. 

The Lord lights on your path today, not far future. Same time, you are called to be light to people around you.

35: I am the True Vine. You are the Branches (John 15:1 – 17)

The vine tree analogy so vividly illustrates our relationship with Jesus. As the branches of a vine share the life of the vine, we share and live from Jesus’ life. πŸ‘‰ Read John 15:1 - 17 Q1.
