Keeping the feasts and the firstborn's statutes helps them remember that they were distinguished people from the world.

Verse 21, they needed to keep the Sabbath rest even when busy.

The Lord asked Moses to write down God's revisited commands, which were given after the golden calf idolatry. The commands of the feasts were given in chapter 24. 


Fear  (verse 30)

Covering the glory of God is not ideal. However, when it makes us hesitate to come to God, the covering is beneficial. Just like a too-strong dose of medicine is not suitable for kids, a too-strong message of discipleship could confuse a beginner Christian about God's love.

This veil will is removed in Jesus Christ. In Christ, we can see the vivid glory of God. However, even after hearing the gospel of Jesus, some people keep the veil in their hearts in reading the Old Testament (2 Cor 3:15). Not knowing the gospel of freedom, they have thought the law is to bind and control us. The Israelites hid from the glory of God out of fear rather than praising Him. They misinterpreted God's intention.

35: I am the True Vine. You are the Branches (John 15:1 – 17)

The vine tree analogy so vividly illustrates our relationship with Jesus. As the branches of a vine share the life of the vine, we share and live from Jesus’ life. πŸ‘‰ Read John 15:1 - 17 Q1.
