πŸ‘‰ Read Leviticus 4:1-21

Where should the priest put the bull’s blood before pouring the rest at the altar base? (two places)

The rest of the bull should be brought outside (              ) to a ceremonially (           ) place and burnt on the fatty-ash pile.

When the sin of the whole congregation has become (            ), they must present (              ) and (             ) must lay their hands on it before slaughtering it.

Answers and Meditation

Seven times in front of the special curtain, the incense altar horns

It is interesting that the sin offering is presented when people get guilty for the priest’s sin, even before priest becomes guilty.

For the priest, he was supposed to be guiltless not only in this own conscience but also in other's conscience because he was the anointed priest who stood before the Lord for the people.

The camp, clean

For a sin offering of common person, the priest was supposed to eat it after applying the blood to the alter and burning the fat portion. But for the sin offering for the priest, it should be burned outside the camp.

It is because he was the anointed priest. ‘The high priest’ (verses 3 and 5 in NET version), its literal translation is ‘the anointed priest.’

Known, A young bull, the elders

For all sin offerings, they brought sin offering only for sins that were known.

Laying of his hands on the bull. The bull is killed in his place.
