Answers and Meditation

Just as the Lord has commanded.

Verse 5 especially notes that Moses announced the Lord’s commands to the congregation. Through all steps of the ordination procedure, the Bible says everything was done according to God’s commands. But Nadab and Abihu neglect the Lord’s commands.

Whenever we approach the Lord, we should follow His instruction.

tunic, ephod, breastpiece, turban

priest, horns, fat, camp

This sin offering is a part of the ordination procedure for Aaron and his sons. Moses presided over the procedure. Because it is a sin offering for the priest, the whole body will be burned outside the camp.

Here is the procedure for the dedication of the Tabernacle and the ordination of priests.

Washing & Clothing -> anointing of the tabernacle -> anointing on his head -> sin offering -> burnt offering -> ordination offering -> wave offering of the priest -> sprinkling of oil and the altar blood on him -> eating.
