31: Victory over Two Amorite Kings (Num 21:21-35)
They started conquering the land on the other side of Jordan, not a Canaanite land. However, this is a prelude to the Canaanite conquest.

Israelites defeated?
King Sihon, the Amorite, had taken the land of the Moabites, who were serving the god ( ). But now, ( ) took all cities of Sihon and settled in his land.
When King Og marched out against the Israelites, the Lord
said to Moses, “Do not ( ) him,
for I have ( ) him and all
his land into your hand.”

In fact, Bashan is the name of a region, not a city.
Chemosh, Israel
Moab, the people of Chemosh, was captured by King Sihon. But,
God of Israel made his people defeat King Sihon and take his land. Who is
stronger? This is an alluded message from verses 26-30.
Six times (V21, 25, 26, 31, 32, 34)
The Lord didn’t allow them to irritate Edom or Moab. Thus, they
detoured the route to come here. Now, they started taking the land. The Bible
emphasizes that they took the land of the Amorites. The Amorites were destroyed because of their sins. In Genesis 15:16, "In the fourth generation your descendants will return here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its limit."
This land was not the land of Canaan but was given to them. 'The terms
Amorite and Canaanite seem to be used more or less interchangeably, Canaan
being more general and Amorite a specific component among the Canaanites who

They didn't run away from their enemy or complain anymore. The Lord delivered their enemy before the battle began.
