47: Requesting inheritance in non-Canaanite land (Num 32: 1 - 19)
Two tribes came and asked to settle on the east side of the Jordan, which is not a part of Canaan. Moses refused their request at first.

Why did they want to stay on the other side of the river?
Moses replied to them, ‘Why do you ( ) the intent of the Israelites
to cross over into the land that ( )?”
According to verses 11 – 12, not willing to enter the land
God has given them is not following the Lord ( ).
The two tribes offered their plan. Moses ‘We
will maintain ourselves in armed readiness and go ( ) the Israelites until whenever
we have brought them to ( ) place. We will not return to ( ) until every Israelite has
( ).’
Answers and Meditations
The land was ideal for their large size of cattle.
They rather wanted to settle down in the newly acquired land.
But this land doesn’t belong to the land of Canaan, which is the west side of the
Jordan River.
Frustrate, the Lord has given them.
Their request might discourage the other Israelites who
needed to engage in wars to conquer the land.
Wholeheartedly
Devote your life to the Lord's disposal regardless of what He has intended.
Before, their, our homes, his inheritance
They said they would fight for their fellow Israelites. In
such a way, they could prove their intention to stay on that land was not to
avoid being involved in the battle.
Seeking an easy life while forsaking the Lord’s mission would discourage our co-workers who minister in tougher situations.
You can show genuine faith when you use your money and time for the Lord and join the spiritual battle for your comrades.
