24: The Law regarding manslaughter and witnesses (#6 no murder) (Deut 19:1 – 21)

The Lord provides places of refuge close enough to every part of the land so that any accident killer can flee quickly.
The Lord commanded them to set apart six cities for this purpose and make highways for easy access. Three cities are on the east side of Jordan, and three are in Canaan. (2-3, 8-9) The Lord God meticulously designed the way of life for us who make mistakes. Our city of refuge is Jesus Christ.
To let the accident killer live.

Anyone who kills someone on purpose and flees to the city of refuge
Anyone who made a false testimony to harm his neighbor.
The Lord punishes them without pity those who exploit the cities of refuge and the law of witness to harm his neighbors. God instituted those laws to protect His people from evil, but they used the law of good purpose for evil. That’s why they were so evil.
