05: Broadening of ministry & not understanding family (Mark 3:7 – 35)

More people crowded to Jesus, and Jesus appointed twelve disciples. However, His family didn’t understand the gospel.

Verse 10 says that people are crowded and pressed toward Jesus.

Why did Jesus order the spirits not to disclose His identity? Their knowing would distract the preaching of the gospel and the Kingdom of God.

ANS: You will be with Jesus and sent to preach. Also, you will be given the authority to cast out demons.


Q. When Pharisees said Jesus cast out demons by the power of Beelzebul, which is Satan, Jesus said this way. Satan is not stupid that he would (             ) his subjects (24-26). When the gospel propagates, it creates a new identity and relationship while it weakens existing old relationships.

Jesus’ family would believe Jesus later.

35: I am the True Vine. You are the Branches (John 15:1 – 17)

The vine tree analogy so vividly illustrates our relationship with Jesus. As the branches of a vine share the life of the vine, we share and live from Jesus’ life. πŸ‘‰ Read John 15:1 - 17 Q1.
