Q2. Verses 40 – 43 conclude Joshua’s campaign. Summarize it in two sentences. (40, 41-43)

He left no survivors according to the Lord's command

Joshua captured all these cities in one campaign, for the Lord fought for Israel.

The author kept saying Joshua annihilated everyone: verses 28, 30, 32, 33, 35, 37, 39.

The Lord helped Joshua (v30, 32). These are the expressions that emphasized that the battle was one-sided: ‘That day’(28), ‘the second day’ (32), ‘that day’ (35), ‘in one campaign’ (42)

It was the Lord’s war. What matters is whether we stand on the Lord’s side or not.

His kingdom and His church will triumph. "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Hab 2:14)
